I have a new home at Old Trivia.
Meaning I pretty much will no longer post here. Maybe only when I want to write more secretly.

I decided I wanted a new journal despite my attachment to this one after four+ years (and 366 posts). Seems like I am determined for some sort of fresh start, what with the changes that I've been experiencing (that's my habit; I've noticed sometimes I get bored and need to move on and begin something new). It's a good thing, I figure. As well, I wanted to create a place that would be a kind of amalgamation of /eggsandshells and /soundslikeasecret - where I could share both my work and that of others without a distinction. I'm not abandoning this place completely though.. you'll still hear from me semi-publicly and I still very much want to hear about you!

p.s. The sweet Jenny created an LJ RSS feed for my new home in case you're interested.
See you around!

There is a dead starfish in my studio which is simultaneously frightening and intriguing to me. It was found yesterday during an uneventful sunset on Kits Beach where it was my first time there. The starfish and some shells are soaking in a bucket now. Last night I had a brief encounter with a racoon on the second floor balcony of the studios. I was spooked and my first instinct was to get back indoors and get help. I went back out and it'd turned around and started going back down the stairs. Animals are weird, foreign and somewhat scary to me. I guess I only like them from a distance.

The other day, one of my students whom I'd taught last semester too, told me the story of how this past weekend she hitchhiked with her boyfriend to or from a mountain. Mylene got talking with the person who picked them up and they discovered that they'd both had me as a TA last term for VISA 110. What a small, strange world.. I've been making a ton of lists lately - two kinds, specifically. 1) Airline flights, roundtrip from YVR > YYZ 2) Summer school courses / Basically, I'm trying desperately to build my summer time - when to visit my family, which class(es) I'll be taking, possibly trying to work as a TA during June/July too. I always seem to make small tasks (like course selection) into monumental, complicated ones. I fear feeling burned out from so much schooling back-to-back, but irregardless I need and want to be making work consistently and completing my elective credits during these coming months. I hear summertime here is wonderful and have started getting tastes of it only when the weather's nice. Been windy; can't wait.
